But the farmers are uneasy. They say this creature can swallow whole rows of crops in a single breath, leaving nothing but trampled earth and silence behind.

I won’t be chasing shadows myself, but if you’re curious or foolish, you might seek Teague out. For all his drink‑soaked rambling, the old man has an uncanny knack for being right when it matters.
