Beasts

From the measly mouse to the devastating draco, beasts come in all shapes and sizes with a vast range of abilities. A watchful hunter will see that most beasts, even with vastly different abilities, behave in similar ways.

Beast behavior is broken down into three types:

• Common Beast: Common beasts are called such because this behavior is seen in most beasts of Temuair. This type of creature charges toward its victim to attack with little thought of anything else.
• Shaman: Shaman attempt to stay away from aislings and avoid melee, using only powerful spells and summoned creatures to attack. As of this writing, Shaman are only found in Astrid among the goblin and kobold races.
• Rogue: Beast rogues attempt to lure aislings into following them over traps. As of this writing, the only beast rogues are kobolds in Astrid.

At the end of this unit is a chapter on the V Formation. This is a very flexible formation that can be used by groups of mixed paths to efficiently kill beasts.
